Here at ServiceMaster Clean, we get asked the same questions by our customers over and over again… So we want to save you some time! Here are our most frequently asked questions on carpet cleaning.

Your questions answered on Carpet Cleaning:

Q. How long does it take for the carpet to dry?

A. The carpet is damp to touch when we leave, but in general it will take between 6 and 10 hours to fully dry.

Q. How long does it take to clean my carpet?

A. An average sized carpet can be cleaned in 45 minutes to 1 hour. However, this is dependent on size and the amount of furniture in the room.

Q. Will the carpet soil quicker after it has been cleaned?

A. This can sometimes be an issue when carpets are cleaned incorrectly. All of our cleaning is carried out to the highest standards, by trained technicians using specialist products and the carpet is left in a PH neutral state that would prevent accelerated resoiling.

Q. Will my carpet shrink during cleaning?

A. We always check the quality of the fitting prior to cleaning and the general condition of the carpet, which allows us to determine whether shrinkage could be a possibility. We will always advise an appropriate course of action.

Q. Will all stains be removed?

A. We endeavour to remove all stains, however no guarantee can be given on specific stains.

Q. Can you apply stain protection at the time of cleaning?

A. We can apply a water-based stain protection following the cleaning process. This offers some resistance to water and oil based stains.  Ask your local office about this treatment when enquiring.
