Re-tufting Carpets
Re-tufting is mainly used for burn marks on carpets, as the pile of the carpet is burnt rather than stained, restoring the carpet to its former glory is actually a job for the experts. For a small area, re tufting works well if the burn only covers a small area of up to 2inchs (50 mm). This involves taking out the damaged tufts of the carpet and either re-weaving the effected area with new yarn or alternatively using individual tufts from a piece of excess carpet. For smaller areas we can often make the mark disappear, for larger areas we can make it much less obvious that there was ever a problem.
